October is here and sweater weather is on its way, so we’re ready to introduce you to the cold brew queen Bethany Barnes! Bethany is our October member of the month; you can find her with a camera in her hand 24/7 creating amazing content for VAST Media and even some cool stuff for the root! VAST Media is a full-service Media & Marketing Company that specializes in video production, real estate photography & videography, graphic design, and digital marketing solutions. They exist to help build your brand and help you stand out among the rest. Plus we at the root just think VAST is full of some really good people.

What do you do? Tell us a little bit about your company.

I work for VAST Media where I am a Creative Specialist! I spend most days planning content, creating graphics, editing pictures and videos, etc! VAST is your one-stop shop when it comes to media and marketing. We offer real estate photography, drone photography, video production, Matterport/3D scans, branding & design, lifestyle photography, social media management & more!

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is the people I get to work with everyday!

How did you end up in your current role?

I went to a bible college here in Tulsa for Creative Media. During that time I grew in specifically photo + video, made some connections and eventually made my way to VAST shortly before I graduated!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a lawyer… Until I found out how much schooling that would require.

What strategies do you use to make big decisions?

As a Christian, I believe when it comes to big decisions that prayer is essential to the decision making process!

If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Probably everything bagels (with avocado of course!)

Would you survive a zombie apocalypse? How?

I’d like to think so, yes haha! I would use a submarine and hide underwater!

What is one of your favorite things about being a member of the root coworking?

The diversity! I think it is cool seeing all different types of people getting to work all different kinds of jobs but getting to work in a community and space together!

more to explore.
