Member of the Month: Nick Goodale, Tallgrass Management Group
Our July Member of the Month is one of our newer members, although it feels like he has been a part of our family for years now. Meet Nick Goodale, Operations Manager for Tallgrass Management Group. Tallgrass was founded in 2016 and is backed by over 25 years of local real estate experience. They have quickly become a housing provider of choice across the Tulsa area. Get to know Nick a little better by checking out our Q&A with him below.
How do you prefer to start your workday?
I like to spend the first part of my day with coffee and emails.
What’s something that has surprised you about your chosen career path?
I never had a set career path goal, but after being in the real estate/rental market for 5 years my outlook on investments and future market conditions was broadened beyond belief.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Getting to bed earlier! Downtime is usually late evenings after the kids go to bed but it’s a vicious cycle if you’re not careful.
Do you prefer being active or relaxing during your free time?
I prefer being active. I enjoy all sports and outdoor activities. I am always open to trying something new, at least once.
Are you a dog person or a cat person (or neither)?
Dogs all day.
What book are you reading now/What show are you binging?
My books are boring work books but I am binging “Billions” right now.
What is one of your favorite things about being a member of the root coworking?
The atmosphere of so many diverse companies and entrepreneurs all collaborating and working to build a better Tulsa (plus the coffee & beer is pretty good).

Our newest Member of the Month is someone that brightens a room just with his presence, and is constantly working to make the world a better place for all (and he is!), the amazing Mike Thompson. If we had to describe Mike in five words: extroverted, philanthropic, empathetic, humble, and passionate. Mike has lived all over the country helping non-profit organizations and their leaders reach their fullest potential. Now he’s back in his hometown of Tulsa, providing consulting services to up-and-coming non-profits, and coaching executives and emerging leaders to help make our beloved City that much better.
