What’s your work story? Share a little about your role or business.
I wasn’t the kid who knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up. I started college undecided and eventually majored in communications. But one thing was always clear to me: I was good with people. I landed at The Artist Evolution, a full service marketing agency here in Fayetteville, almost six years ago as an account manager. In this role, I learned to use my people skills to build strong client relationships in addition to project coordination. My focus was always on ensuring strategically sound and flawlessly executed campaigns, from developing timelines to managing all the moving parts. I thrived on being that go-to person, building trust, and always ensuring our deliverables hit the mark and went beyond what our clients hoped for. After a few years, I moved into the role of Director of Client Services where I now lead, coach, and manage the account management team. My priority is elevating the client experience through best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within our team.
I’ve always been passionate about connection – connecting with clients and connecting with my team. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of an agency that helps businesses grow, to lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and a team that puts an emphasis on connection.
What’s a guilty pleasure snack or treat you can’t resist?
I am not sure if I feel guilty about it, but anytime there is banana pudding, I am there.
If you could have lunch with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec! Not just for the fun conversation but for the endless waffles we’d eat.
If you could switch professions for a day, what would you choose?
An event planner! Not so much weddings, but big corporate events and parties. I’ve always loved the details and organization part of the process with the gratifying party at the end.
What’s a local Fayetteville gem (hidden or not-so-hidden) you think everyone should know about?
Urban Cellar Winery! My favorite place to grab a glass of wine (or two) on any type of day. It’s kind of hidden on the Fayetteville square, but an absolute gem!
What’s one piece of technology you wish existed to make your work life easier?
Probably a coffee mug that would refill itself!
What’s a book, podcast, or show that has inspired you recently?
I watched a documentary on Netflix recently, “Chef’s Table: Noodles,” and if you don’t already love pasta before watching, you will after.
