Meet Anthony Monday, a dedicated Sr. Leader in Psychiatry Operations at Foresight, who brings a passion for improving mental healthcare access to people through his work. With a team of 14 spread across the country, Anthony plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and ethical operations for psychiatry and therapy providers. After over two years of remote work, Anthony found a sense of belonging at The Root – Market Station, where he enjoys the welcoming environment, and thriving community. Outside of work, he channels his creativity into restoring vintage furniture and exploring Tulsa’s thrift gems.
What do you do? Tell us a little bit about your work.
I help improve access to high quality mental healthcare by leading our Psychiatry Operations Team. Our team manages key operational functions, including scheduling for psychiatry and nutrition services, processing prior authorizations and prescription refills, as well as handling documentation and records requests for our psychiatry and therapy providers. We also administer IVA-2 CPT testing and support our GA teams in our TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) service line.
What’s your go-to drink order at Foolish Things?
Love me an Iced Caramel Latte!
What are your two favorite spots in Tulsa?
While I may be a bit biased as a vendor, Love Me Two Times vintage mall is one of my fave spots for vintage goods! When it comes to food, I highly recommend Que Gusto.
What was your first car? Did you name it?
1973 Chevy pickup named Bertha.
What does a perfect day off look like for you?
I’d start the day with an iced coffee and spend time exploring thrift stores or estate sales with my fiancé, Parker.
There are now 25 hours in a day—how do you spend your extra hour?
Even more thrifting/hunting for vintage treasures!
If you could learn any skill, what would it be?
I have a passion for restoring vintage furniture and would love to expand my skills by learning woodworking. The ability to create my own furniture pieces is something I’d love to explore.
What do you think is the best part about being a member of The Root Coworking?
After working completely remote for over two years, it was amazing to finally connect with some of my coworkers in person and meet new people from different industries. I really enjoy the environment and sense of community that The Root team helps create!
