Member of The Month: Chad Quest, Coca-Cola

Meet Chad Quest, Director of Equipment Services for Coca-Cola Bottler’s Sales & Services’, and our July Member of the Month. Hailing from The Root – Market Station,  Chad leads the CCBSS Tulsa division, supporting operations for independent Coca-Cola bottlers.

What do you do? Tell us a little bit about your work.

CCBSS (Coca-Cola Bottlers Sales and Service Company) is Owned by nearly seventy independent Coca-Cola bottlers, CCBSS is an independent company that supports operations for our bottler owners. We leverage the size and scale of the Coca-Cola system to drive maximum value. CCBSS was formed in 2003 to serve as a single voice for the Coca-Cola bottling system in North America.

In Tulsa, you will find the team for the Customer Care Center (CCC). Here you will see the teams for Account Support and Equipment Operations.

What’s your favorite quote?

“You have chosen the wrong path if it’s not fun. And you are probably not taking enough risks if it’s not hard and rocky sometimes. – Marc Benioff”

To me, this quote sets the right expectations that you should love something, but it won’t and shouldn’t always be easy.

What are your two favorite spots in Tulsa?

So many good places in town, but I will mention my recent finds. One is Farmbar; I was finally able to go and I can not say enough good things about the experience. The other is The Hemingway, great steaks here. I think what I like most about these two places is that they change their menus routinely, so you never quite know what will be available when you go.

What is the most valuable career advice you’ve been given?

I was lucky to have a great mentor early in my career. One of the best things she told me was that success is not a straight line and to not be afraid to deviate from your “plan.”

What was your first car? Did you name it?

My first car was a hand-me-down from my grandmother, this 1976 Chevy citation. Yes, that old—so no AC, stick shift, bench seats. The only name I had for it was not incredibly positive as it broke down routinely.

What does a perfect day off look like for you?

It would be a day with no plan or agenda, The beach or at least a pool with sun and drinks, add in a few naps and it could not get better than that.

If you could learn any skill, what would it be?

So many, but it would be something musical or artistic, I have spent a lot of my time working with the logical side of my brain, and now wish I had learned to play an instrument or to paint and do something creative.

What do you think is the best part about being a member of The Root Coworking?

During COVID, our company became a 100% work-from-home organization. We realized that there are situations and experiences we could never replicate remotely. The Root not only provided the space for us to meet and connect, it also recreated the energy of being in a large office setting again. From the staff to the amenities and the overall design and feel of the facility, all help to create a space we are happy to be a part of.
