Ring ring! Incoming call from: Miguel Alaniz, our August Member of the Month! Miguel is the Director of Sales for RestoreMasters, a national roofing company, who recently landed on the Inc. 5000 List of America’s fastest-growing private companies, and America’s Top 100 Roofing Contractors. We’re lucky to have this Texas native, turned Tulsa resident, as a member of ours!

What do you do? Tell us a little bit about your company.
I work in the roofing industry in the commercial and residential sector. We perform inspections, and help homeowners and business owners navigate the insurance process to replace/restore their roofs. I am the Partner for Tulsa and Sales Director for our national residential sales division.
What is your typical weekday routine?
I run sales meetings/training for our commercial and residential sales team on Monday – Friday. On Monday, I host a national leadership call and on Tuesday, a national sales call. I help train nationally, either in person or via zoom, as well as running my local office/team.
What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?
Leadership and sales.
What strategies do you use to make big decisions?
I start with my end goal in mind and work backwards—what factors will be impacted by my decisions? And, have peace with the final results, regardless of what they are.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be in the military and do special missions, or Superman.
What can’t you leave the grocery store without?
Oreos and/or Almond snickers!
What’s a pet peeve that you would make illegal if you could?
Not taking notes during a training event.
What is one of your favorite things about being a member of The Root Coworking?
For me, it is The Root staff. I see them as an extension of my team/company. I can count on them to help my team and clients. And, I get compliments often on the team and space.
