Member of the Month: Nathan Watts, Veryable

Member of the month, Nathan Watts, knows what it takes to make it: teamwork. As a former college athlete and high school football coach, he’s kinda the expert on teams around here. Now, as general manager of the newest Oklahoma team for Veryable, he’s building a team to support our city’s largest industry: manufacturing. It’s a big career change from education to logistics, but after casually browsing LinkedIn, Nathan knew he’d found his new perfect fit.

Veryable is the “uber of manufacturing and logistics labor,” Nathan always says. It’s an on-demand marketplace for manufacturing, logistics and warehousing labor. Veryable’s flexible labor solution connects businesses with high-quality workers at the click of a button, enabling higher productivity and a competitive edge. For workers, Veryable provides immediate access to work, the ability to control their own schedule, opportunities to build new skills, and best of all, next-day pay.

Member of the Month: Blake Singleton, Peoples Company

Everyone say hello to our March Member of the Month, Blake Singleton, oil and gas manager for Peoples Company. We lovingly refer to him as one of our golden retriever members—easygoing, friendly, funny, and most importantly, he has great hair! Blake is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, and is big into giving back to his community, serving on the board of directors for multiple local non-profits. I just know Blake’s teachers called him “a pleasure to have in class” growing up; because we wholeheartedly agree he’s a pleasure to have at The Root.
